Welcome To Certified Green Partners

Building A Cleaner World, Together.

In 2007, after 35 years of working in the trade, Augusto G. Casamayor realized that the printing industry is one of the largest consumers of petroleum products, and one of the main causes of deforestation. Casamayor made a conscious decision to transition his business to be one that is in harmony with nature.

In 2008, after experiencing market-based success through environmental sustainability, Casamayor sought the opportunity to make a greater impact by implementing large-scale standards applicable to all industries; as a result, he founded CERTIFIED GREEN PARTNERS® (CGP).

Headquartered in Miami, Florida, CERTIFIED GREEN PARTNERS® began offering educational seminars to help companies mitigate the impact of their operations in the use of paper and ink by offering more sustainable and efficient alternatives, while stressing the importance of implementing efficient recycling programs.

In 2009, CGP began combining international standards, procedures, and practices in one single program with the purpose to certify businesses through a third-party organization. The standards are based on the principles of the 3Ps (Profit, People and Planet) of the global vision of sustainable development that was established by the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in 1992.

In 2010, CGP launched their Integrated Environmental Management Program as one of the organization’s contributions.

About CGP

Headquartered in the USA since 2006, Certified Green Partners® is an independent certification organization that combines international environmental standards, procedures, and practices in a voluntary and flexible program. We offer a program that is easy to implement and maximizes conservation efforts for all industries regardless of size, service and location.

The idea is to have organizations offer a cleaner world, while enhancing their quality of service and marketability. Our program is based on the general principles of sustainability: protect biodiversity, while promoting cost-effectiveness and social responsibility.

At CGP, we do not perform the certification process, we promote the program through a third party to ensure that all organizations become certified and earn the right to use the CGP logo.

The CGP program is applicable regardless of the nature of the business and can be adapted to meet local or international regulations. Providing world-class specifications for products, services and systems is our focus, in order to ensure quality, safety and efficiency.

Mission and Vision

Our mission is to promote innovative business practices that ensure both environmental sustainability and socioeconomic prosperity.

Our vision is to share easily adoptable standards that help provide a cleaner world to future generations.

Certified Green Partners has a complete set of standards that offer solutions to a diverse range of sustainability concerns. From the management of global water resources to finding cost-effective solutions that reduce greenhouse emissions, our standards are compatible with other environmental management systems and can be applied to meet the requirements of any organization, in any industry.

Energy Efficiency

CGP’s combined standards can help increase energy efficiency by proposing cost effective solutions. Our standards are regularly updated in order to keep up with the rapidly evolving technological climate, which ensures optimal cost effective solutions to reduce energy costs.

Access to health services, quality care, and safe medical practices and equipment is important to people everywhere.
We have a diverse set of standards that focus on health in sectors ranging from dentistry, medical devices, health informatics and traditional medicines.

Services represent more than two thirds of World Gross Domestic Product (GDP). They are a core economic activity, contributing more to GDP than both industry and agriculture combined.
Through our combined standards program, we help confirm that services are of a consistent high quality.

Food products regularly cross national boundaries at every stage of the supply chain. CGP International Standards create confidence in the products we eat or drink by ensuring the world uses the same criteria when it comes to food quality, safety and efficiency.
We have created a program specifically dedicated to food and deal with subjects as diverse as agricultural machinery, logistics, transportation, manufacturing, labeling, packaging and storage.

CGP provides global tools to help us manage our shared water resources equitably and durably. CGP water standards build confidence through consensus-based global solutions for good business practice, management of resources, risk assessment, metrics and infrastructure. CGP facilitates sustainable water management, increases water potential and helps alleviate water scarcity.

Carbon Footprint

Global action is needed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, as well as adapt to the changes that cannot be avoided. CGP International Standards can help tackle climate change in a number of ways.
For example, we have standards for measuring greenhouse gas emissions while actively working to verify the claims of their impact to our environment so we can adjust our standards accordingly.

Become Certified

CGP performs the certification process through Elite Green Compliance International (EGC International), a third party organization. EGC International executes the implementations and inspections to verify compliance in order to award the certification based on CGP requirements.

There are three types of certification levels:
Basic, Green, and Green Plus.

Regardless of the desired certification level chosen by a participating entity or its business sector, an independent accredited certification body will assess and create a customized plan that will help any organization reach all requirements. All documented sustainable efforts are taken into consideration and converted into points using a Sustainable Point Scale that consists of six tiers. Each of these tiers represents a fixed number of points. The certification level of the company is based on the number of sustainability points accumulated among other standards that have to be met.

When an entity—a company or agency—is certified, they will receive a certificate from Certified Green Partners (CGP), and earn the right to use the CGP seal of compliance in a pre-approved statement. The seal assures that a company's products, processes, systems, and services conform to local and international standards and regulations.

Our goal is for all businesses to reach a Green Plus certification level that indicates the highest sustainability standards. Green Plus certification offers the most benefits to the global ecology and economy.

Benefits For Your Organization

Businesses, agencies, and other organizations benefit in a number of ways from becoming a CGP-certified organization. Implementing a CGP management system will incentivize your employees to get more involved and to have a more detailed understanding of the way that their actions affect the operation of your business. It will also give you a greater understanding of what training is required for each one of your employees.

Here are some ways that participation in the program will help your organization:

    Profitability by reducing operating costs

Improvement in the process flow and risk management

    Increased productivity

    Corporate image (Credibility and reputation)

    Competitive advantage

Ability to attract, retain, and satisfy customers, employees, and business partners

    Achieve Market Access

    Reduce Carbon Footprint

The right to use the CGP logo

CGP's highly informative seminars are open to individuals from any type of organization, whether for-profit or non-profit, large or small, in any industry or field of endeavor. Participants are welcome from the highest level of management down to everyday workers who are involved in the day-to-day operations in areas falling under the aegis of the certification process.

Topics include sustainability, social responsibility essentials, health and occupational safety. The seminars help with mitigating anthropological climate change, while increasing the performance of the organization’s employees, reducing costs and increasing profits.

At the conclusion of the course, participants will have the tools and knowledge necessary to successfully complete the examination and qualify for the Certified Environmental Associate accreditation as qualified by Certified Green Partners®.
